Default Thomas Clark Cast Iron Porringer

A neighbor had a friend give him this. The friend didn't know what it was... he picked it up while traveling through Florida or Georgia, apparently. Neighbor asked if I could identify it (there are actually two... one just like this, and one smaller and cruder)

Thomas Clark Cast Iron Porringer c. 1839-1870

I found another one on eBay, complete with original tin lid, that sold for $125.

That is the same pan on both sites. Look at the stains and rust marks.

Yeah, I know it appears that way... the images go with the first link, not with my eBay reference. They were hot-linked images. I guess Doug changed them to links. Those image links are redundant.

The larger of the two bowls perfectly matches the one in the 1st link even to crackles and stains.

Whoops!!! You are so right! I just noticed that myself tonight. Exactly the same pan.
