Another #5

Lol...I did same thing picking up an unmarked Wagner this week.. it looked great and was $10. I got it home and it appeared clean and well seasoned but I stripped it off with lye bath anyway. Wow, someone had lightly put the entire bottom and outside walls of pan to a grinder! Little gouges tool marks in the metal. I can’t believe someone did that.

same here... single notch hammered lodge #5... but I could tell it had had a pretty rough life... but bought it anyway to see if I could help it... she's never going to be 'like new' again... but if I use it maybe some of the pitting on the cooking surface with fill in.

on the other hand, the same place I found this little guy for $11... there was a first or second series erie #8... badly warped (like 1/2 inch in all directions) for $55 and a favorite made Puritan #9 (warped just as badly as the erie) also for $50 something... and I managed to leave both of those behind.
