Default Ghost Mark, or Faint Casting?

From what I can tell the Sidney mark should be on there, it is really faint. I had to take several pictures at different angles to get it to show up. It’s on a flat bottom kettle. What am I missing here? Is it a ghost, or a worn piece?

Default Re: Ghost Mark, or Faint Casting?

Looks to me to be a "bad" or light casting.....doesnt look worn out to me at least.
