MW is based in Memphis,TN. A west coast brand that I find on the east coast is Krusteaz, based in Seattle.

I've seen Krusteaz, but if we're not making it from scratch, everyone I know uses Jiffy "Corn Muffin Mix". Then we doctor it up, adding corn, jalapenos, sour cream, cheese, etc etc... It's 50 cents a box. But if your going to make a skillet or pan full, plan on several boxes. When I serve it, people rave about it. I never tell them it came out of a box. :)
 
I have tried all three brands, and Krusteaz would be dead last in my votes. I use Jiffy all the time. Sometimes wish I had a scratch recipe that was as good.
