I think I added the photos out of order but… the screws in the lamb mold… is that a thing? It looks like the washers were placed there haphazardly. I see what they were doing and it seems to be thoughtful but, I was under the impression that the lamb cake mold can just be laid down in the oven. That’s what I did and it worked. Also, I found this unmarked Wagner Dutch Oven with a glass lid. I thought it was unusual, but a google search yielded many results with the same glass lid. I was surprised.

Appears to just have been a way to keep the halves from becoming accidentally (or intentionally?) separated. Like on the store shelf.
