Wagner #3’s

Is there a difference in age between these two pans or is it simply a different mold around the same time period. The logo seems the same, but there are a couple differences.

1: The catalog number seems larger on one of the pans.
2: Where the handle meets the pan, you can see that signature triangular shape on one, the other one, not so much.
3: On the upside down image, there seems to be a “lip” around top of the wall of the skillet. The other one is smooth from bottom to top on the wall.

That age of Wagners didnt have a heat ring to my knowledge. The real old ones did. Not sure about #3 tho........I have a Wapak #3, and its the only skillet of Wapak that doesnt have a heat ring, its smooth.
 
There are no Wagner #3s with heat rings (nor #2s). The one with the heavier font and no distinct rim reinforcement (it's blended) is the older of the two. #3s with the size number and pattern letter are older than both. Sometimes, the c/n and pattern letter are positioned higher as a result of those patterns originally having been made with the pie logo markings.

Wapak #3s are usually pre-c/n Wagner copies.
 
So I think I have a smooth one that is an unmarked Wagner. The bottom simply says "6 1/2 Skillet" with a Q below that, a Q on the handle and a 3 on the top of the handle.
