Hey guys, picked this up and can't figure out what it is? I was hoping someone might have an idea.

Notice the big 8 rounded, not block style like a Gris. The pan seems to have a nice light cast too. Not heavy at all. Certainly not a wrist-breaker like a BSR.

On the bottom at the 6 position it looks like a 1. At about the 2 o'clock postion there appears to be a dash that is angled. Not sure if that is a casting flaw or an identifyer.

Any ideas?

**My apologies, the pics are coming in upsaide down. Hopefully you can still see what I mean in each one.**

Close ups are rarely helpful. Photos framed to include the entire pan, handle and spouts, and of both the top and bottom, are best.

Here are the pics.

I wanted to see more of the pour spouts and if it had a handle reinforcement pad, which it does not. I actually saw a couple of these, similarly marked, in more than one size out hunting over the weekend. Best I can guess is they are someone's copy (someone as in a small regional foundry) using, probably, Wagner skillets as the basis for or modified for use as patterns.

Yeah, I was kind of thinking it was a copy. If you could see close up, you can tell that the cast (while light in comparison to many) is sub-standard, in my opinion. It's not a great cast. The outside is rough, but the inside is actually sexy smooth. But where the tear drop is, it looks bad. Hard to explain. I guess you'd just have to see it. Then the whole big, round 8 on the handle looks like someone engraved it by hand or something.

Anyway, interesting piece. Thanks for taking a look.
