Default Are These Sprues with a Gate Mark??

Wondering what these marks are on the skillet with the gate mark. Also is it dated around the 1850s being gated and a left hand single pour spout? If they are not sprue marks what are they?

If you mean the dots around the perimeter, those would probably be nub feet to keep the pan from rocking on the gate mark.

Thank you. I thought that might be it except for the fact that three of them are pronounced and one is not. It may just be the fact that it has worn off. Am I correct about the date?
