Default My 1st Dutch Oven

Doing work for someone last week I noticed a Dutch Oven on the basement floor.
I have been looking for one for some time and asked about it.
I was told it was his Mother-In-Laws and his Wife would want to keep it.
Today he walked past me with the Dutch Oven and said he was going ask his Wife about it.
So when I was getting ready to leave she was outside and he showed her the Dutch Oven and asked her what she was going to do with it.
She said why and he told her I had asked about it.
She said it had been in the basement for years and she did not know where it came from........and if I wanted it to just take it.
And I also got a jar of Strawberry Jam from the Strawberries in their yard.
So I guess it never hurts to ask.

The Dutch Oven looks to be in very good condition surface rust but the inside bottom looks great.

It is in the Lye Tank right now.

The bottom is also marked 1268
