Default Erie Muffin Pan

I have a muffin pan that says Erie on one end and No 10 on the other. Any idea how old this might be? Thank you.

The Griswold #10/948 popover pan was made for a very long time and went through several revisions (15) the "yellow book" calls variations (perhaps because the order of revisions isn't exactly known). The book kind of leaves the reader to infer that variations 2, 3, 4 and so on are later than variation 1s. In the case of the #10/948 popover, the numeric order of variations is a bit suspect as #1 has a pattern number, 2 and 3 do not, #4 (yours) does, 5 through 8 don't, and #9 onward do. It's generally assumed that once Griswold started using pattern numbers, they were rather fastidious about using them. One might be tempted to place this pan in the same time frame as the 4th series "artistic" Erie skillets which share a similar style font, one not used on any series Griswold skillet before or after. Those skillets are dated rather narrowly to ca. 1905. As to rarity, the YB assigns this one a rarity index of 1 (least rare). I have two, and found them both in the same place at the same time.
