Has anyone ever tried to take the bely out of a skillet w/ any luck? I bought a #9 Griswold, small logo and 11 1/4" skillet and the letter "A" is all the markings it has but it has a belly(spinner).

I was thinkin' the same thing on the hydraulic press, coupled with an oxy/acetylene torch. But the truth is that if you can get it hot enough, the press might just leave a mark

I'd just live with it being a spinner.

It will not work. To heat it to that level will result in making it more brittle.
And will crack under pressure at that temp.

Common sense says that what caused the warp could be caused to fix it. But who has the time to set the pan upside-down on a burner and heat it up, cool it down several thousand times to remedy the problem. It's cheaper to find another pan that sits better.

I appreciate all the responses and it seems to be unanimous just to deal w/ it. I have all the cast iron I need, I just buy and sell now, maybe I can get it sold as is
