Skillet ID

Here is a skillet with one pour spout that I also got with the 2 griddles, it is a no 6, note the inset for the lid and the unique handle , all of these are the oldest pieces I think I have found and I am just trying to get a timeline or possible maker on any and all

I think I know your skillet David. Photos of the full pan make id-ing easier. Yours is one of the UFO pans (Unidentified Frying Object) and you'll not be likely to ever find the maker. I have yet to see any early skillet with a cover and I think the rim on yours is just a pretty way to make a pan. It's possible that tin covers may have been used but, again, I have never seen one shown or listed in any earlier catalog (1800s) meant for iron stovetop skillets. Your pan, I think, was made in at least No.s 7-9, maybe larger?
