Hi all. So I have recently begun doing some cooking and after trying a few various types of cookware, fell in love with the results I got with my mom's cast iron skillet. Even more recently (in the past few weeks) I have become interested in learning about old, vintage, and antique cast iron cooking vessels. Over the past week I've been on vacation in the beautiful Smokey Mountains and have been scouring flea markets and antique stores with great success. I will soon create a new post to try to get some help identifying a few of my finds in which Google has failed to help with. I'm glad to have found a community who enjoys learning about the nuances of cast iron as much as I do and look forward to delving into the sea of knowledge here in CIC.
P.s. I'm only 20 years old, so I may be slightly out of place here:-?

Welcome aboard. Can't wait to see pictures of your finds.

Don't worry about the age thing. Young people are welcome and I hope we can help you learn whatever it is you want to know.
