Default Storing Meals in Cast Iron

We cooked a delicious chicken pot pie in a 2 quart dutch oven. My question is, can we/should we leave the left overs in the dutch oven in the refrigerator until we heat up the left overs.

If it's in an enameled DO, yes. I wouldn't do it for bare CI.
