Wagner Lid

The C-8 glass cover was available as part of a covered #8 skillet set (1058-C8), with the 1088 chicken fryer, as the lid for the 1268 dutch oven, and singly.

Here’s my unmarked Wagner chicken fryer. I thought it should have a skillet lid but was told it was a glass one. I don’t see any catalog number on it. What do you believe should be the lid? I’d like to find the correct one. Thanks.

Unmarked Wagners don't have catalog numbers, but they are the same as their marked numbered counterparts. By the time Wagner unmarked pieces had Made In USA on them, iron covers were long gone. C-8 is the correct lid.

Although not impossible to find in thrift shops, they are rare in my area. I have one C-8 and one marked Wagner Ware square skillet cover that I have found over the past few years! It really adds to your fryer!
