Unique Skillets

I posted two pictures of some skillets I saw for sale. They seem unique to me

The first picture I posted is an erie skillet but I never saw one where the number was so off centered. Has anyone seen one like this before?

The second is an Indian head wapak, the the handle seems to be "filled in" rather then "scooped out" Does anyone know why that is or if its "normal"

Hard for any known maker's skillets to actually be unique, as hundreds if not thousands were made using the same patterns over and over. There are a few Erie patterns with numbers off-center, the #9 with the + maker's mark being one.

Wapak #8 Indian head skillets have two variations, one with a hollow-back handle and size number in bas relief, the other with a thinner "filled in" handle with an incised size number. The hollow handle version's medallion is also in a bas relief style, while the "filled" handle version's is more embossed-like.

I never saw that different handle on the Wapak. I learn something every day on here. I personally like the scooped out handle, but thats a personal preference.
