As found today at a local thrift .... my first of this
brand of "Favorite" (not Piqua). As such don't know
much about it. Gave more than I like to, but bride
liked the size and depth (empty nesters). First
planned meal ... fried cod. Anything you can provide
ie age, foundry info, quality etc. is appreciated. Sits
level without wobble or spin. I gave $37.50 . :icon_scratchchin:
but goes to a good cause and the Princess is pleased.

Sean,
I wasn't aware of any other "Favorite" then
Piqua. The quality of this piece , and depth
of the sidewalls sealed the deal. They wanted
$50 negotiated to $37. Now that I've found this
piece of Chicago cast iron I will keep on the
lookout for this foundry's work.

What is the depth of the skillet? Kinda looks deeper than a normal #5, kinda like a small chicken fryer, lol.

Wow Mike..... that looks like N.O.S. !
Might have been pretty hard to let
that beauty go. Nice job on the rehab.

Sean, photo exaggerates the side wall
depth...only two inches...but, appropriate
for size of skillet.

Thanks! Yeah, I let it go for less than I wanted, but hopefully it will find a good home.
