12" and 8" do's

The #12 is Birmingham Stove & Range Co, early 1960s or a little later, the strange spot(s) sometimes thought to be an artifact of some type of mechanism breaking a freshly-molded piece out of its sand mold. If it was in the pattern itself, the purpose is not clear.

The #8 is interesting if the pot and lid are a match. Maid Of Honor cast iron was briefly sold by Sears in the 1950s, and has been attributed-- not without controversy-- to Lodge as the maker. The #8 pot is definitely Lodge, the "Made In USA" placing it after the early 1960s. One would expect a matching pot, however, to also be marked MOH.

thanks doug,,,lid fits the pot,,do not know if it is original,,i'll ask SIL if she got it from her ma...if so. i trust her chain of custody
