silly question?

this is a silly question, but here goes.
If I had two pans to clean and season
and would like to season both at the same time,
what should I do with the first pan when it comes
out of the electro tank to keep from rusting
while waiting on the second pan?
also I really have enjoyed this site
and trying to learn from all of you
fine people.thanks:icon_:)

Coat it in a very light coat of whatever oil you have chosen to use for seasoning. Then wipe it as try as possible before starting the seasoning process.

You must live in a humid climate. I live north of San Francisco and pans do not readily rust after being taken from a bath. I need to some see what some of you have to deal with in humid climates. I've seen many rusty pans in the South but see few of them out here. I agree, coat with solid crisco.

thanks for the replys, coat of oil simple enough.
Here in northwest florida humidity is a normal thing.
Especially the last few days,20 inches of rain in two days.
lots of people got flooded out.
thanks again.

not far from you in s ga...after cleaning i wash them, i let them sit in the oven until they reach 200 degrees, remove with a mitt, and coat with a light coat of canola....i just leave them in the oven (off) until ready to go further...works great!

If I don't have time to finish a piece in the electro tank, I drop it in my lye bath until I can get back to it. It won't rust any further, and can stay there pretty much indefinitely.
