Can a spinner skillet be fixed?

Has anyone found a way to remove a downward bow in a skillet that causes it to spin? We use a gas range so it usually isn't a problem to cook with a pan that's a spinner. Just curious if anyone has had any luck repairing. I have a couple pans with an upward bow, figure someone tried to correct a spinner.

Warps can occur upwards as well as downwards. It's just that upward bows are usually slight and often overlooked since the pan can indeed "sit flat". There's no way to fix either, short of melting it down and casting a new pan.

I tried one time with a warped skillet cover. I put it on a glass stove, stacked 3 or 4 chicken fryers and skillets on top of it and turned the burner on high. Didn't work.
