Looking at a no.19 griswold golfball pan. The pan has 6 cups.On the bottom the cups say no 19 Griswold

Can anyone tell me when it was made, how rare it is and if it's real.

Roughly 1910s-1930s, reasonably rare. Can't say if yours is real w/o a photo, but these are generally not seen copied, reproduced, or recast.
 
just to add to Doug D's post.

from the 'yellow book' of Griswold gem pans:

they only list 3 variations (the one you describe is the most marked, the other two have less markings)... actually version 1 is completely unknown as they don't have any examples, but the handle is different than the other two styles. the second variation is only marked 'no 19' and '966'.

variation one is obviously rare (no known examples, just pictures)
variation two and three are listed as 'rarity 8' 'rare'. and values of $500 to $600!!!!!!
the values in the yellow book are very old and not always accurate... but #19 is a pretty rare pan.
 
We just found one for $30, and it was in great shape--but it was an Erie, not a Griswold. We were thrilled! All it needed was a good rinse and some fresh seasoning.
 
The Yellow Book doesn't list any known #19 marked just Erie (Erie is Griswold). Got a photo?
