I would like to put a brass valve on my e-tank for clean out. Is there anything wrong with this in terms of brass touching the water?

My first thought was itís paint, so I slathered it in paint stripper - didnít do a thing. Then it went in to a lye bath - didnít do anything.

So I guess it must be enameled. I wish it wasnít.
