Thats what it should say. I have a few skillets. They are not made real good, but for a user they work as good as a Griswold if taken care of.

I would guess that its foriegn made, maybe even came with a cookie mix. My daughter gave me it. I use it grilled cheese, lol. The 2018 could be a marking soley for when it was made?

Kinda looks like Wagner, kinda......on another note, Wapak #3s are the only skillets they made without a heat ring. I have no clue why tho.....and ive never seen a #3 Wapak without the tapered logo.

No problem on the advice. Im not an expert, but I dont think easy off will hurt the nickle.....I doubt it, but I never did it myself yet.

There is usually a few on Ebay. Right now there is like 5 of the, but not nickle. I would use the Easy Off Method to strip it. Thats what I would do.....

I personally have never had flash rust occur. I used to use bacon grease to season, but it was sticky sometimes. I use Crisco now.

I had a Wagner Bread Stick Pan that was pretty new. I got it online, it wasnt made very good tho in my book. I would say they were made in the 90s.....not 100% sure tho. I would just use it.

I have always taken my CI out of the oven when its done. I never had a problem yet, but it makes sense to let it cool down slow.

Try putting on a thin layer of Pam.....that should show you what itll look like seasoned up....just take the Pam off before seasoning. Not sure if this will work for you, but Ive done it.

I have to agree.....shouldnt cause any problems. Putting it in an oven is probably safer than on an open fire, or what not. Youll be fine! Welcome to the collectors of BIG Cast Iron.
