Its very hard to tell who made what sometimes. Im like you, I think of all the meals cook in them, the people that used them, how they cooked, ect. Just treasure it now that its yours.

Forfot to add this...sorry....I live in PA. and Zippo and they make them here. Anyways, they have a big Zippo with flame on top of their offices. Pretty sweet!

Went to the court house today. My house was built in 1886. I figured the early teens, but not that old...I love it tho.

I have a #7 Wagner, an old one, that the heatring is barely there. I mean barely. Its so smooth and light. Its one with "Wagner" on it. Used to be a heat ring tho.

Measure the skillet and go to GW, if you just want to cover it for cooking. I have found a lot of lids there for dirt cheap.

Looks like a Chicken Fryer to me. Kinda looks like it has an assist handle, but then again, it doesnt. Id still say chicken fryer.

Sad Iron Restoring...

I was wondering if you can strip a sad iron with easy off or another method? Im assuming you can, due to the fact its cast iron. Any ideas?

I f I saw the ads right, I wouldnt spend that kinda money. Look up "Beer Can Chicken" on the net. Its a way we do it around where I live, and IM sure others do too. It is neat tho.

I agree. Looks like just seasoning flaking. I would just strip it and start over. Goes to prove your pan was used a LOT....thats the best ones.

I honestly thought people still used this kind of sink and counter. I love mine.Easy to clean, defrosts meat well, old school, ect.
