Re: Baking in CI...to preheat or not to preheat...

I was thinking about the Korn Kobs and Turks Head pans. The first time I tried the Korn Kobs pan, the batter was sizzling as I loaded it in, and the corn bread didn't come out as intact as I'd...

The molasses method

I have an old 3-legged pot that I wanted to use as my countertop utensil bucket. Oven cleaner took off all the black, but there is still significant surface rust. The molasses method sound like it...

Re: Hello from SW Ohio

It's got an "A" under the "1053" on the bottom and it provides me a tasty fried egg or two almost every single morning.

Re: New from Indiana

I have found many of my pieces on ebay. You just have to have the patience to weed through all the listings. The "followed searches" function is nice in that it constantly adds new items to your...

Hello from SW Ohio

I've been watching Food Network for years, and I've always seen various chefs searing meat and moving the cast iron (or stainless steel) pan to the oven to finish. Not having any suitable pans of my...
