I picked up 2 Wagner #6 at a yard sale for $10 a piece. Cleaned them up, then noticed one is a good bit heavier than the other. Obviously, looking at them the wall is thicker too. Other than that...

Donít currently have a #2, and I didnít pay much for it. Thoughts? Bottom of pan looks like a recently made cheaper pan, but handle and inside are intriguing. Thank you all

Removing paint

I have recently purchased a Griswold 8, slant EPU. It has a very light coat of black paint on it. What’s the best way to remove it, aside from scrubbing? Any help appreciated

Griswold slant #8

I would love to get some of your expert opinions on the value of this pan. It sits flat with no cracks, and maybe a little pitting on the bottom.

My father has had this Dutch oven for a long long time. He got it from his mother, who has been gone for a while now. He asked me to identify it. I don’t know.

Spots

Unmarked Wagner #8, spent over a week I. Lye bath. Very very nice finish. But after 1 seasoning, what’s up with the spots? No pitting, very smooth.

I bought a BSR cornbread skillet the other day. It’s been in the lye bath since Saturday. It has cleaned up nicely. Every time I take it out of the lye bath, scrub and wash it, it looks great. But as...

Post lye bath question

What is the best way to clean a pan after getting it out of the lye bath? I want to be 100% sure it’s clean before I begin cooking on it.

Lye bath question

I see that Lowe’s carries this stuff. It claims to be 100% sodium hydroxide or lye. Has anyone used this?
