Re: Calling all Canadians

On the Mcclary skillets you will see variations in the handles. One will have a shorter spine on the handle back, and the other longer, much like a vollrath, with the spine going to the eye. Which...

Re: dutch oven 838

That's an old one. Definitely pre griswold. Should be "ERIE" on the pot and a 9. Nice old iron.

Re: Calling all Canadians

This one does not fit any of my #9 skillets. Too small. Too big for #8's, too. Its sized somewhere in between.

Re: Calling all Canadians

Glad to help. Found it's way to the foothills of the Smokies where I spotted it. I knew it was not common. At least to me. Only found one picture of one on a skillet that Steve Stephens posted. It...

Re: Calling all Canadians

Fairly uncommon to rare lid. Just need the skillet to complete. Those are not too hard of find.

Re: Sorry, I'll try again later

Appears to be a spoutless PPS 10 marked handle from what I can see. These are old skillets and would have a had a tin lid. The lids are very rare.

It is unsure who made them, but some thoughts...

Re: new wagner ware?

Ok. Thought you may have been after a CI combo skillet lid. I know of one across town.

Re: new wagner ware?

If thats the company I'm thinking of I've heard not to send money to them. Orders not being fulfilled or answering email.

What lid are you looking for?

Re: Broiler pan?

It should have a tin lid that has probably turned to dust by now. Believe that is the same one that appeared on FB a couple days ago. Not surprised to see it on fleabay already...

Re: Here are my latest acquisitions

A lid for that Favorite should be an easy find. Pretty common. The Griswold is plated in either Chrome, or nickel. Most likely chrome knowing griswold.

The square skillet is a Birmingham Stove &...

Re: Nicer Hammered Piece Seeking ID

I got ya. Yes, they do have a ridge on the the handle top. We are indeed thinking of the same pieces.

Re: Nicer Hammered Piece Seeking ID

I did not say it was BSR. Just that it had a BSR type style handle and inset dots. BSR did not make deep hammered linear pattern hollow ware and that is confirmed.

Re: Nicer Hammered Piece Seeking ID

Indeed unknown, but they have surfaced before. I suspect they may be from the same manufacturer as some of the linear hammered lids seen that have a BSR styled handle, inset baster dots and deep...

Re: Everyone's favorite game...Name. That. Iron!

Could be one of the skillets produced when Lodge was helping out BSR during their financial issue period to stay out of bankruptcy. Believe I have seen other marked examples, though I don't know...

Re: The Mystery Skillet Game!

From the look of the handle spine I'm inclined to say Vollrath. Indeed the top to a double skillet.

Re: ID help for unmarked skillet

I am hesitant to attribute them to lodge. The #8 example I have remaining is visually smaller than a solid ring arc logo circa pan, with the same circa arc logo lid not fitting. If they are lodge,...

Re: Info on unusual Piqua ghosting ??

I have the same pan but with an odd font 7.

Collectors pay them no mind, as they are considered flawed.

Re: ID help for unmarked skillet

I believe earlier too by the handle style. Lodge has come up in the subject of these but not by me, nor can that be confirmed to date. Indeed they are very nice skillets.
