Re: Electrolysis Tank - Newbie!

Etanks work by line of site. Meaning that only the part of the skillet facing the anode will get cleaned, so sitting it on the bottom would be very ineffective. Also, the closer the anode, the more...

Re: Griswold Trivet Duo-chrome

I have owned a few nickel plated ones, but never duo-chrome.

Re: Sad Iron Collecting

There are definitely collectors of both. I have sold several trivets to collectors on Facebook groups. From my experience, sad irons don't have a lot of value, in general. I'm sure there are some...

Re: Favorite Waffle Irons

Beautiful Doug. I think the cross-over handled Favorites are the most appealing looking waffle irons made.

Chicken Fryer Collection

I picked up a couple of chicken fryers in some piles I bought recently and it made me start to wonder how many different variations I currently have on hand. After some digging around in my shed and...

Re: Wapak Carbon Steel???

I was thinking the same thing Doug. They look like cast iron from the pictures.

Re: No 10 Indian

That is pretty awesome Doug. I bet the price tag would be pretty high on a full set. Although, with last year's discovery of a legitimate #2, there is actually only 1 full set I guess.

Re: Wapak with Gate Mark?

I have to agree with it being a recast. It's a shame too, because it is a Wapak chicken foot.

Re: Very Old and Gate Marked Cast

Unlike many other collectibles, old cast iron cookware increases in value when restored properly. Old bottom gate marked pieces are no exception.

Re: Griswold Hammered Skillet with Hinged Lid

Definitely no wire wheel or power tools of any kind. The lye tank, followed by the etank will work perfectly. Very nice piece, especially since it was from family.

Re: Smooth Bottom, Slant Logo Griswold #8 HTF

I've seen posts of the #8, but I've never seen any of the other sizes. I bet it would be a pricey set to put together.

Smooth Bottom, Slant Logo Griswold #8 HTF

I just took this out of the lye tank to put into the eTank. I normally don't take pictures at this point, but I was pleasantly surprised at what I uncovered. I suspected it possibly could be a smooth...

Re: My Latest Haul

Nice haul, every once in a while you have a day like that. Especially love the #11 ERIE. I think 11s are the most undervalued size skillet out there. Just don't run across them very often in my...

Re: Hammered Lodge

Beautiful little skillet. I recently picked up the same thing in a #5. Single-notch, hammered, plated Lodge.

Re: 10 1/2" Skillet

Interesting. I have this skillet in an 8 inch version. The Teflon coating is still there, but quite worn.
