My mother used a #3 Wagner to make her manicotti shells. She is gone now but I use it for the same. Nothing else like it.

Yes I had the same problem for a while. Then started preheating the pan. Works like a charm and the cornbread comes right out. Just had to adjust the cooking time.

As far as 8 vs. 9, those numbers got filled in alot and so after it's cleaned you may wind up seeing an 8. I had a 6 that I thought was a 5 until it cleaned out.

Got a Wagner #12 on ebay. The listing said 12" and I looked and thought, "that's not right, is it?". The number on the handle was caked over so I couldn't tell for sure, but I had a good feeling...
