What do you cook in your griddles?

Are you preheating your iron? I throw it in the hot oven with a healthy amount of oil and let it preheat for about 5 minutes before laying in the dough. The dough should sizzle a bit as you press it into the pan.
I have not!! Have been worried the dough would cook too fast before I could press it in the pan. What temp. do you consider hot?
 
Nobody mentioned Honey Buns or coffee cake. For brunch today the hash-browns, ham, eggs and coffee cake will all go on the griddle.

Preheat pan to 500 degrees, bit of olive oil spread around, press in the dough. Never could get the crust to brown and crisp up properly without preheating and oiling.

Nothing like fresh made pizza, even better with a homemade sauce and top notch toppings. Just watch out for your fingers.
