I found this today. I think it’s an earlier lodge but I’ve not seen a catalog number before. Is it a copycat?

It's Griswold. There are three sizes, 7, 8, and 9.

Ah! I wondered about that because the catalog number looked Griswold but I didn’t trust myself. Was this one they made for someone else? Is there a known era on this?

Probably sold in hardware stores at a lower price, as were most unmarked versions. These are economy sized as well. They are seen with Victor ghosts, so likely late 1930s - 40s.
