Has Anyone Seen Numbering Like This Before

I recently purchased a gate-marked #7 skillet from a thrift store. It was $2.00, which I laughed about the whole way home. Rarely will I ever find a deal like this. It has a heat ring that is on the outermost edge, similar to Vollrath. The handle is raised up on the underside with a thin bridge to support it. What is new to me is the fat number 7 just above the handle. I've seen a Miami skillet with a similar #7, but the Miami has the number indented as a traced outline and not fully stamped in the way this pan is marked. I'm at a total loss as to who may have made this pan. Most of the gate-marked skillets from the late 1800's-1910 I've seen have no identifiers on them. I'm hoping because this is more distinctive, someone may have a clue as to who made it or where it came from. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Even if it's a recast, it should be a great user and well worth the $2.

Wow! It looks exactly like the 1st image of the 1st series Erie skillet. I'm cleaning it now and hope it has an Erie mark or even a ghost mark. My thanks Doug D. I really appreciate that.
