Griswold #10 DO Coated Lid?

Recently got a #10 dutch oven with a 2553 tite top lid. It looks like the inside of the lid is coated in something. Were some of these ceramic coated just on the lid and is it ok to take the coating off? Seems like it is missing in spots and dont like it.

So did some research and it appears to be an easy clean lid. Is it the same lid as those not coated and can I just use a wire brush on air tool to take it off?

I, for one, would NEVER take an air powered wire brush to any CI. Maybe I mistook the post, if I did Im sorry. I have a skillet that had a wire wheel or something put to it. I have a pic on here, in the ugly pan thread.

Highly doubt that was caused by a wire brush
