Aluminum Griddle

I am very new to cast iron and so far have found and restored only family pieces that I have found in various basements and cupboards.

I don't really know enough yet to ask intelligent questions, but do have one to ask.

I found an aluminum griddle with a wooden handle marked "Peerless Cast Aluminum Nat'l Pressure Cooking Company Eau Claire Wis."

Is worth keeping and using and, if so, how would I clean it and reseason it if necessary?

After I sent the first message it occurred to me to search for "aluminum" on a cast iron site.

Wow!

Now I know how to clean it. But is it worth keeping and cooking in. My focus has been on cast iron because I have a lot of experience cooking in it. My Aluminum experience is confined to the Boy Scouts and was not pleasant!
