I'm new at cast iron. One of my recent finds is a fairly modern Lodge 12" skillet, but without the "helper" handle (I'm sure there's a proper name for that.) Does anyone know when that was introduced?
Thanks
Ron
The Lodge 10SK skillets marked with the egg logo (but not in an inset circle) with the designation "12" SKILLET" and no assist handle would have been made ~ 1987-1993. After that, the 8 thru 14 all had them.
