Kind of looks like unmarked Vollrath, but even those usually had the size number sideways at 3 o'clock. Got a photo of the top?

Hmmm... Lacks some of the other Vollrath handle characteristics. Maybe an earlier Favorite, before the rounded outer edge heat rings. Or it could be a smaller foundry using someone else's pan to create a pattern which they modified somewhat. Just thinking that maybe from the casting flaws in the top of the handle.

Thanks for the input. Some people say the underside of the handle resembles a Wapak. Some say they never seen one like it.

The rib is like a couple of makers. The scoop on the underside is like a couple of makers. But together, they don't seem to point definitely to one manufacturer. I see where the Wapak suggestion comes from, on some of their older block logo pieces. So many changes within every brand over time make it challenging to pin it down. That number (letter?) on the rib is perplexing.

Is it just the photo, or is this piece shallower than a typical #8?

Here is the skillet before I cleaned it up.I only gave $10.00 for it.I like restoring them and using them.I love all the old pieces compared to the newer lodge stuff. Thanks again for the info

Nice job on the refurb. I might have passed on that one even at $10. You got it back in fine shape.

Gotta love a bargain find. I found a #6 last week I thought might have some potential. Unpriced, I was told $10. I offered $5, and it was accepted. Under the solid 1/4" of crud was a Wagner Ware Sidney -O- smooth bottom #6.

Yea this one looked like it had a name up top under the crud. But once i cleaned it up there wasn't.
