G.F. Filley Gem Pans

I had a couple and added the #6 from the dinkys auction... I was interested in it but it sold for $100 at the auction on friday.. but the buyer noticed a crack when he was loading up his stuff at the end of the auction and they dinkys guys gave him his money back.. but then there was about 100 - 150 pieces of iron being sold at their normal friday night auction that night and they stuck it in there and announced that it was cracked, so I got it for like $5 or $10... you can see the crack right on the edge of one of the middle cups... and it was in kind of rough shape, very reddish on the bottom like heat damage.. .but after a lot of electrolysis and wire brush and steel wool... it cleaned up well and all the markings look good.. I don't think a crack in a gem pan is quite as scary as a crack in a skillet.. I probably won't be cooking any gems in it anyway.
