Wagner Aluminum 'sauce Pans'

this was about the only wagner aluminum that I bought at the dinkys auction (there was a lot of aluminum in the John Wright collection)
I bought these because they were relatively cheap and I'd never seen anything like them before... and wanted to work on my aluminum restoration skills.

any thoughts on the black stains on the bottom of big one? aluminum oxidation? It didn't come off with some minor abrasion or buffing with aluminum polish.

They don't look to be in too much need of restoration. Aluminum oxidation wouldn't be black. Some kind of carbon build-up. Dawn Power Dissolver, HTF these days, would be my first thing to try.

I'd like to find out more about them... and the unique shape and handle... there were several at the auction... I think I paid $25 for the bigger one and $15 for the smaller one.
