Looong Griddles

I found two long griddles last week and my new gas range will be delivered on Friday, so I'll have to see which one fits the best. Would love to know if anyone can ID these.
First up is the decapitated No. 9 with a fossilized jellyfish inclusion. :chuckle:
I wonder if the handle broke off and was cleaned up, or if it was removed intentionally so it could slide all the way back on the range top.

And then we have the well loved No. 8, which looked like it had been used to cook about 4,000 hamburgers, 8 at a time, all in a perfect grid formation. The raised "8" and overall smooth casting makes me perhaps Lodge? But of course others used raised eights too.

There is a small "C" or "G" or "D" or something incised under the 8...
Oh, and just to make life sweeter they were $4 a piece.

Here we have a ONE OF A Kind for sure. I’d choose a fossilized jellyfish over somebody’s name any time. With no visible cracks I’s say the handle was removed on purpose to fit on a stove. Makes a better story and is probably true. I hope you bought the right range so the 9 will fit.
