Crusty outside and fluffy inside. Yum. My cast iron can replace bakeware any day! :-D. How did I not know this!

To answer your question (!), many breads and pizzas are not best baked in cast iron, but on a stone. Cast iron can be a next best. Our daily bread ciabatta is stone baked.





Cast iron is good and fun but there is still a place in a kitchen for stones, sheets, steel molds and other bakeware.
