Any magic tips for cleaning my skillet in a white sink?

My sink is white and every time I clean my skillets it leaves marks in the sink I then have to scrub off. I tried putting a towel in the bottom, which works, but then I have a sopping towel every time I wash up. I have resorted to putting a bit of water in, then wiping and scrubbing while on the counter, then rinsing without it touching the sink surface. Do-able, but is there some trick to washing them IN a sink without these hassles?

Unfortunately when you rub porcelain with metal, it leaves marks. So yes, unless you're using some sort of pad or buffer to prevent contact, it's going to happen.

An alternative is to live with making the marks and just finding a way to clean them off more easily. A product called Barkeeper's Friend has a great reputation for doing that task effectively.
