Looks Like a Blacklock #8

It certainly may be a Lodge, but it's nowhere near what a purported Blacklock is supposed to look like.

What are the "clues" you use to determine that its a Blocklock? needs cleaned a lot more for one thing.

I don't have time to search it now, but recall Doug responding to another post that conjecture has a Blacklock having a continuous OUTSIDE heat ring, raised number on handle, raised maker's mark at 6:00, some kind of re-enforcement where the handle meets the pan (can't recall the exact verbiage) and a side gate mark. I may have left something out.

Not blacklock, most people agree on outside heat ring, side gate, raised number on handle, and raised mark on bottom.no one will ever know what it looks like.

Lodge Manufacturing Co. - South Pittsburg, TN

1900-1910 "Blacklock"¹ ²
- Skillets have outside heat ring
- Raised size number on top of handle
- Raised molder's mark letter on bottom at 6 o'clock

Yours has an inset heat ring and it looks like a single notch. It's a 30s Lodge. Also see the related footnotes re: Blacklock.
