Ok, here is my mystery box. I'm sure I should know a couple of these, but I'd definitely lost on these. I hope someone can help me identify at least a couple of these.
#1. I can read the brand, but damned if I know anything about it beyond that? any thoughts?

No. 2 not Blacklock nor anything like Blacklock. I have a number of nearly identical pans and figure that they come from PA or MD or surrounding areas. Several or more makers have similar styles with that one large pouring lip. MYSTERY SKILLET. I have one or more that have maker's names or initials including Marietta but it's not really possible to id your pan I don't think.

No. 3. Maybe 3 or 4 different makers made similar pans. No way to tell unless one can match a pan up exactly with the few Excelsior (Filley) skillets that are marked. This one of yours does not match up. Midwestern area I think. Again, MYSTERY SKILLET.

I looked in my photos and have a set of 6-10 of the same or VERY close skillets to your #2 skillet. Two are marked A & N on the bottom. I don't know what foundry that is.

Thanks Steve,

Glad to have some feedback. The smoothness of the iron on these are outstanding - better than even the best of the griswolds I own. Really was hoping for an ID on at least one or two. One of them I thought could be Erie, as the handle on it was virtually identical to an Erie I recently saw. BUT I'm hardly an expert on IDing unmarked iron. That said I love these skillets. Pantry is getting awful crowded right now.

in any case I appreciate the help.

Jonathan
