picked this up at the same estate sale, it looked a bit rough at the sale and I almost didn't buy it, but it was the last day of the sale and prices were 50% off and it wasn't priced that high to start with... so I took a chance. it cleaned up better than I expected... and the write up of the patent is interesting... part of the 'design' is that it drops down into two stove eyes about 2-3 inches and with the design of the openings of the sides allows hot air to be drawn over the meat so you cook the bottom with direct heat and the top with hot air... and collects the fat/meat juice for gravy.
