Long griddle ID help

I just found this long griddle and rescued it from a bad paint & stencil job to bring it back to operational condition.

It looks identical to my Favorite Piqua minus the logo. There is this strange impression that looks like a makers mark was covered up in the mold.

Any thoughts on the maker?

Thanks all!

The shape of the pattern alteration area is consistent with that seen on Favorite and CHF pieces.

So a dumb question: why the pattern? Is that an artifact of obliterating the logo for a piece that doesn't meet quality standards or was it "born" that way?

The alteration is to the pattern, not the cast piece. Reasons for pattern alteration would be to put new markings or to "de-brand" a pattern for casting unmarked pieces for a different market channel.

Follow up dumb question: is there a noted difference in quality from the unmarked and marked counterparts? Or was it just a mechanism to, like you say, put in different markets for a discount?
