Re: schofield macon ga corn stick pan

Schofield is listed in Doug's foundry directory, but there is no picture attached. But, I wish you hadn't of shown us that ... now I've gotta go out and start looking for Schofield's to collect. HA!

I like finding stuff from local foundries. Kudos on a nice piece of Georgia history!

Edit: http://www.whatwasthere.com/browse....3.6261520385742/id/8975/info/details/zoom/14/

This says Schofield became Taylor Iron and operated until the 70's.

Edit #2: Here is a discussion of Schofield on Ancestry.com: http://boards.ancestry.com/thread.a...ties.northam.usa.states.georgia.counties.bibb

- and this link says Schofield went out of business in the 40's and was acquired by Taylor. ... so maybe that dates your piece to the 40's or before?

Yeah I couldn't find much information on it I may go back later and pick it up

Re: schofield macon ga corn stick pan

It appears to be something made using a Lodge #27 as a basis for the pattern.

Re: schofield macon ga corn stick pan

I also just found one! Have not yet found other cookware. Web showed doorsteps and machinery. Founded 1850. Mostly machinery it seems. Closed in the 1930s. Acquired by Taylor 1940.
