Neat Western Importing Co. Pizzelle Iron.

I found this one today, for a decent price, and decided to bring it home.

It reads "Western Importing Co. Minneapolis & New York Heart Shaped Design Rosette Trademark" on Both Sides. One side says "999 Patented" and the Other side which is missing a handle reads "981 Patented"

Is it mis-matched, or are the patents just different for the opposing Top and Bottom Irons grills?

Probably just one patent. Different pattern numbers for the resting pins and male/female closure alignment.

And here we have a Pizzelle Cookie Maker made in Denmark.

They make one for heart shaped pizzelles in Italy too. I think yours will work just fine.

I think these were made by Griswold for Western Importing. IIRC that is the name that the Alfred Andresen Co changed their name to. I have the same Waffle Iron except mine says Alfred Andresen, I also have the Krumkake or Pizzelle.
