Default Griswold #9 Waffle Iron and Low Base

I bought this at the dinkys auction a few weeks ago.. but for whatever reason they sold it in pieces, not as a set. got the paddles by themselves for $25 and they sold the base as a #8 (although it was bigger than the other #8's sitting next to it... I measured it to be sure before bidding and knew it was a 9)
the paddles and base are nice and a correct set (no leveling pins on the paddles or slots on the base.. and the paddles have the square section with a notch that fits into the square section with a groove on the base opposite the hinge..) but I think I was more impressed with the condition of the chrome handles... they cleaned up better than I expected and really look nice contrasting with the dark iron.
oh, and base by itself:
