Magnalite roast and bake

I found this one today and gave $23 not knowing anything about it. It looked like it would clean up well and the large size is nice so I took a chance on it. I've googled it and I don't think I did to bad. It looks like just the outside walls of the pan and the top of the handles were highly polished. I couldn't find any pictures in the RB.

Looks like a nice find to me. Not that bad of a price if you ask me, but I am no expert at all, just a user. I know I would have bought it. Im sure youll get your share of use out of it!

Thanks Sean, the guy was really nice and I thought he gave me a good deal. After coming home and giving it some thought I went back and got this one. I think it's Lodge but I'm not sure because the handle seems different than the Lodges I have seen. :icon_scratchchin:

The auction that I went to last saturday (the one with a bunch of griswold cast iron) also had a bunch of Wagner magnalite... there were at least 6 or 7 of the big oval roasters of various sizes... I think my mother in law ended up with three of them. My wife and her mom also bought an aluminum juicer and a long handled ladle (both marked wagner pieces) which they split.. mother in law wanted the juicer, wife wanted the ladle... then my mother in law bought a bunch of wagner aluminum scoops and spatulas... like, 6-8 of them... they were selling handfuls, choice handful... I think her bid was only like $8 and she took both handfuls.

Bonnie, you are the Queen of Great Finds! I bought a Magnalite DO a couple of weeks ago because the last one you posted was so pretty!

Have you checked page 233 of the RB? The pictures of the Lodge DO with legs might not be a ton of help, because they are catalog drawings and not pictures of the actual DO, but the handle looks the same to me. However, the listing of DO's with a bail only lists sizes up to 12. They do list a "Shallow Country Oven" up to size 14, but the picture of that one looks like it has handles on the pot and not a bail.
