round no name waffle iron

re seasoned this round waffle iron. has circles on both sides, one with a 7 8 it and a pretty nice handle. its made for a wood stove by the way it flips not like the others that have handles and you can flip and use on a regular stove if you wanted.

I have seen this same iron before, as well as a very similar one sized 8-9.
 
I think it was around PA years ago that those were somewhat common irons. Several different styles or variations but many that were basically similar. I think waffles were a staple of early households; so many different waffle around.
 
I have this same iron plus the # 8 -9.Have made waffles on our electric stove stove with the smaller one. Gets a little tricky.The wife will not attempt it.
